Mascot

The Gary SouthShore RailCats are seeking a mascot performer for the 2010 season.  This is a part-time position and hours/schedule will vary based on team's need.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform as Rusty the RailCat or Rascal at RailCats home games at U. S. Steel Yard
• Perform at community events and make other appearances throughout Northwest Indiana
• Interact in a respectful and personal way with all RailCats fans
• Perform at events and community appearances during offseason
  
  AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
• Serve as the RailCats official “Ambassador of Fun” at The Steel Yard and around The Region!

Qualifications:

• Must have prior mascot experience
• Willingness to perform wacky stunts in front of thousands of people
• Willingness to do just about anything for a laugh
• Outgoing and creative personality with a desire to have fun
• Willingness to embody the RailCats tradition of “Fun, Affordable, Family Entertainment” and respect for the organization’s core values and mission statement
• Personal record in good standing
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Must be available to work all RailCats home games and many additional dates
