Nick Lampasona joined the RailCats in January 2010 as the team’s Director of Stadium Operations.  In this role, Lampasona is responsible for overseeing the entire operation and maintenance of U. S. Steel Yard.

Lampasona brings a wealth of operations experience to the RailCats after spending the last two seasons as the Assistant Director of Stadium Operations/Sales with the Connecticut Defenders of the Eastern League.  With the Defenders – the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants – Lampasona operated and maintained the team’s 6,500-seat stadium and was responsible for the physical appearance of the ballpark inside and out.

Prior to his time in Connecticut, Lampasona worked for four years at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Hilton Head, S.C. as a Leisure Activities Supervisor, operating and selling memberships at the fitness center and helping manage the leisure department.

Lampasona graduated from Western Illinois University in 2005 with a degree in Recreation, Park, Tourism and Administration with an emphasis in Facility Management, and currently resides in Chicago.
