Longtime sports industry veteran Kevin Spudic returns to Northwest Indiana for his first season as RailCats President/General Manager.
Spudic was one
of the first RailCats hires in 2002 and was intimately involved with the
franchise’s startup and early success. The Highland native worked as the assistant general manager through the
2005 season before departing to head up the newly built Sears Centre in Hoffman
Estates, Ill. Spudic most recently
served as the Director of Business Development at Toyota Park in Bridgeview,
Ill. and has experience with the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire, Chicago
Enforcers, Gary Steelheads and a number of other clubs in and around
Chicagoland.
A graduate of
Highland High School and Valparaiso University, Spudic will be responsible for
all aspects of the RailCats organization as they move into their second year in
the American Association. The 2012
season will be the 10th for the RailCats at U. S. Steel Yard, the
ballpark Spudic once had a hand in creating and naming.
“I am extremely
excited and grateful for this opportunity,” Spudic said. “I want to thank Pat for the chance to come
back to lead an organization I have great passion for, and I’m looking forward
to re-connecting with all of the great people involved with this team and
community, including the corporate partners, city leaders, staff, and wonderful
fans.”
