GARY, Ind. — Rusty the RailCat has spent the offseason digging through his closets, so on Saturday, December 12 at U. S. Steel Yard the RailCats will be selling loads of merchandise, used baseball equipment and more at a huge discount as part of Rusty’s Holiday Steel “Yard Sale”.

RailCats fans are invited down to The Steel Yard from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 to find great stocking stuffers and more for the holiday season.  The RailCats will have all kinds of merchandise – from t-shirts and sweatshirts to mini-bats and holiday ornaments – marked down at outrageously low prices and loads of treasures from the first seven seasons at U. S. Steel Yard.  Special Items for sale include RailCats batting helmets, game-used bases, promotional materials, autographed gear and more.

And nothing stuffs a stocking quite like RailCats tickets, which will be available as season tickets, mini plans and flex packages during the sale.  RailCats mini plans start at just $72 for nine games – like Fireworks Fridays and Souvenir Saturdays – or customize your schedule with a 10-voucher flex pack starting at $90, giving you the flexibility to see any games with as many friends as you want.

Rusty’s Holiday Steel “Yard Sale” will be about more than just great deals, too, with Rusty himself on site dressed in his snappy Santa Suit, checking his list and posing for photos with young RailCats fans inside the VIP Suite Level.  Two-time Northern League Manager of the Year Greg Tagert will also be in attendance, and hungry fans can get their fix with $1 hot dogs, sodas and candy available.

The Yard Sale is open to each and every RailCats fan and admission is free, with all fans directed to enter at the VIP entrance on Stadium Plaza, just north of Fifth Avenue.  Merchandise will be available inside the RailCats offices and SouthShore Depot merchandise store, with Rusty and friends hanging out upstairs.
