GARY, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats have promoted assistant general manager Brian Lyter to the position of general manager. The announcement was made Wednesday by Pete Laven, president of Salvi Sports Enterprises.
Independent minor league baseball is still on the upswing in Chicagoland. The Gary SouthShore RailCats and Schaumburg Boomers, both owned by Pat and Lindy Salvi, showed attendance increases once again in 2014.

GARY, IN – Gary South Shore RailCats’ announced today that the club has completed trades with both the St. Paul Saints and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association. Gary sent OF Josh Romaniski and RHP Dustin Crenshaw to St. Paul to complete the August 23rd trade for IF Henry Wrigley and sent OF Drew Muren to Fargo-Moorhead to complete the August 22nd trade for RHP Nick McCully and LHP Shawn O’Neil.
