Mitch is currently in his first year as the RailCats’ Head Groundskeeper at U.S. Steel Yard and currently resides in Portage, Ind. As Head Groundskeeper, Mitch is in charge keeping the playing field at its best possible condition.

The recent Colorado State University graduate has spent time as Assistant Groundskeeper for the Colorado Rockies Triple-A team, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. During his two year stint, the likes of Todd Helton, Kaz Matsui, Clint Barmes and Mike DeJean played on the field in which he helped keep up.

Along with graduating last year, Mitch also took a bigger step by marrying his wife Anna in June. The 23 year-old was born and raised in Sedgwick, Colorado.
